Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of JournalEdge, including the application, website at journal-edge.karmadhi.in, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by Karmadhi Solutions Private Limited (“Karmadhi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use JournalEdge. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
2. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it up to date.
- You must notify us promptly at support@karmadhi.in if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.
3. The Service
JournalEdge allows you to:
- Record and organize trading activity across supported markets (including forex, crypto, gold, stocks, and options)
- Attach notes, tags, and chart images to trades
- View performance analytics and journal insights derived from your recorded data
- Export trade data and manage app preferences
We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
4. Your Content
“Your Content” means trade records, notes, tags, images, and other material you submit to the Service. You retain ownership of Your Content. By submitting it, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you.
You agree that Your Content:
- Is created or uploaded by you or with proper authorization
- Does not infringe any third party’s intellectual property or privacy rights
- Does not contain unlawful, harmful, or abusive material
We may remove content or restrict access if we reasonably believe it violates these Terms or applicable law.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users’ accounts, or data
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service except as permitted by law
- Upload malware or interfere with the Service’s normal operation
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Use the Service to distribute spam or unsolicited communications
6. Accuracy of Data and Analytics
Calculations, metrics, and analytics shown in JournalEdge depend on the information you provide and on market definitions configured in the app. We do not guarantee that any calculation, chart, or report is complete, accurate, or suitable for your specific trading strategy or regulatory requirements. You should independently verify important figures before relying on them.
7. Demo and Sample Data
The Service may include demo accounts or sample trades for illustration purposes. Demo data is not real trading activity and should not be treated as financial performance.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation (excluding Your Content), is owned by Karmadhi Solutions Private Limited and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service except as expressly permitted.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third-party sign-in providers (such as Google or Apple), hosting providers, or other tools. Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
10. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may also request account deletion by contacting support@karmadhi.in. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or if required for legal or security reasons.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR FREE OF ERRORS.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KARMADHI SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR TRADING LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Karmadhi Solutions Private Limited from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
